Celebrating the Life of Cynthia Ann Green Milton

1965 – 2025

Cynthia Ann Green Milton, age 60, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away at home on August 5, 2025. She was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, a loving partner, loyal friend, devoted family member, and unforgettable spirit whose warmth and generosity touched many.

Born in Norfork, Massachusetts, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Barbara Green. She was also preceded in death by her brothers David Green and Robert Theadway, grandparents Gladys and Hair Pain, her aunt Betty Travis, her cherished grandmother Helen Lewis, and cousin Tyler Theadway.

In her early years, Cynthia and her family relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they became part of a nurturing and faith-filled community at Ethan Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her foundation of faith, family, and friendship began there and never wavered throughout her life.

Later, Cynthia made her home in Virginia, before meeting the love of her life, Shawn McDowell. She began a new chapter in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 201.  A city that would become the heart of her extended family and chosen village.

Cynthia joined Charter Communications in 2017, where she quickly became known for her leadership, dedication, and compassion in customer service. She led with both grace and grit, always ready to uplift those around her.

Cynthia's life was full of joy, laughter, and love. She was the kind of woman who could make anyone feel like family. Whether through her soul-warming home-cooked meals or her joyful line dancing at family gatherings, she built community wherever she went. To know Cynthia was truly to love her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories in the hearts of her surviving family: her uncle David Theadway; niece Shani Warren (Fernando); nephew Gabriel Green; cousins Leon, Dennis, and Daniel Travis; her best friend Shawn Hayward; and her beloved partner, Shawn McDowell.

Cynthia created a beautiful life, one that was full of purpose, passion, and unwavering love for those around her. She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

We celebrate Cynthia's life, her laughter, her strength, and her unshakable spirit. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her presence will forever live on in our hearts and in the countless memories she gave us.
