Dajah Symone Oglesby was born on May 5, 1999, in Charlotte, North Carolina. After a lengthy bout with juvenile diabetes and other complications, she made her transition to eternal life on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Daja attended and graduated from West Charlotte High School where she maintained her academics so she could showcase her true talents on the basketball courts. She was an avid athlete.
She was an active member of The Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where she was spiritually and emotionally nurtured during weekly worship, Sunday School, and Bible Study. Dajah faithfully served on numerous auxiliaries including but not limited to the youth and young adult choir, the youth and younger adult usher board, youth ministry, the culinary team, and the liturgical dance team.
Dajah leaves to cherish her memory, reflect on her life, and model her zest for life, her two sons, Ezekiel Gregory and Ethan Lynn; her mother, Lois "Meme" Oglesby, her twin brother, David Oglesby, her two older brothers, Timothy Oglesby (RaeAndree) and Reginald Oglesby (Montiece); two aunts, Deborah Blanton and Rebecca Armstrong; and two uncles, Roger Camp and Avery Camp (Roz).
