Mr. Demario Allen Tillman (AKA) Mario, 29 of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday May 23, 2020. He was born August 24, 1990 to Lashunda Tillman and James Allen Paul.  He adored his family and friends and "LOVED" his three boys!!! Mario's first job that he truly enjoyed was serving "funnel cakes" with his Grandmother, Ms. Diane.

Mario attended St. Luke Baptist Church and had his own special relationship with Christ.

Mario graduated from Independence High in 2008.  He received his bachelor's degree from ECPI in 2019.  He joined the Marine Corp in 2010.  During his military career he was deployed to Afghanistan where he attained Corporal status before he retired in 2014.  Mario joined Urban Ministries Center in March 2018 as a VA Counselor.  He loved and enjoyed his service work and was honored to be a member of the Urban Ministry team.

Mario stated playing sports at a young age.  He played football and basketball.  However, his passion was baseball.  His interest in sports motivated him to become a coach of baseball,football and basketball at the Methodist Home Recreation.  He was dedicated to teaching his players and truly enjoyed it.

Mario leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Lashunda Tillman of Charlotte, NC; father James Allen Paul (Stacie) of Charlotte, NC; Three sons, Peyton Tillman, Amar Tillman, and Levi Broadie of Charlotte, NC; One sister Jasmine Tillman of Charlotte, NC; One step brother James Timothy Watts Jr "Tim Tim" of Charlotte, NC; Grandparents Bernard and Diane Tillman of Charlotte, NC; Grandparents James and Florence Paul of Charlotte, NC; Two Aunts Marla Dunovant (Brian) of Charlotte, NC; Hilda Monley of Greenville, SC; Four Uncles Earnest Young of Connecticut; Roderick Brown of Raleigh; Todd Brown of Charlotte, NC, Robin Brown (deceased) and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
