Dan Caldwell, answered the Master's Call and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tommie Morrow; his father, David Caldwell; his brothers, Nathaniel Morrow, James Morrow; and his grand-daughter, Tiffany Cooper.
Dan attended Plato Price High School and joined the United States Army. He served for three years. He was united in holy matrimony to Frances Louise Caldwell. They were married for 70 years.
Dan accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Emmanuel United Church of Christ. There he accepted the responsibilities and servitude as a dedicated member. He was on the Deacon Board, Mass Choir and Men's Choir. He genuinely loved his church family and friends.
Dan was employed with Merita Bakery for over 40 years. He also worked for Mrs. Wilkerson and later with her daughter, Mrs. Ann Lockhart, whom he loved both dearly for over 50 years.

Left to cherish warm and loving memories are his wife, Frances Louise Caldwell of Charlotte, NC; three daughters, Gloria Jean Cooper of Charlotte, NC, Dannetta Caldwell Dunn ( Willie ) of Zebulon, NC and Sheena L. Hines of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Vera Smith of Fort Washington, MD; four grandchildren, Cyril J. Baldeagle, III of Charlotte, NC who he raised as his own, Destini S. Crawford and Tabitha Williams, both of Charlotte, NC, and Denise Thompson of California; nine great-grandchildren, Alexandria Crawford, Azariah Abraham, Londynn Baldeagle, S'evan Baldeagle, Deondra Graham, Kyre Broadway, Mishak Brown, Danielle Thompson and Isaiah Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, relatives and friends.
