Mr. David Deeval Strong, 61 of Gastonia, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was born November 9, 1959, in Rock Hill, SC.
With a bold "hello", unique personality and a lively vocabulary, David never met a stranger and never lost a friend. David was a member of McClintock Presbyterian Church. He had a gift of expressing himself with no doubts of his stances. His passion was writing music and singing and his quick wittiness.
As a child, David attended South Carolina schools. David was a member of McClintock Presbyterian Church. He created the Pet Hand Vacuum. David worked for Sonoco Recycling, Frito-Lay Inc. and was presently working at Dystar Carolina Chemical Group in Charlotte, NC. The love of his family was first and foremost.
In addition to his parents, Mrs. Barbara T. Ingram and Mr. John Strong, Mr. David Strong was preceded by the death of his sister, Mrs. Barbara Lucille Gravant. David leaves to grieve a son, Deqauvion Keyvon Da'Jon DeShae Cook of South Carolina and a daughter, McKenzie Kayleigh Strong of Charlotte, NC; Five brothers, the Patriarch of the family and the oldest brother, James (Billy) O. Robinson of Lodi, NJ, John (Tommy) T. Robinson of Rock Hill, SC, Ross C. Robinson of Oakland, CA, John C. (Leslie) Strong of Columbia, SC, and James C. (Jessie) Strong of Charlotte, NC; Seven sisters, the Matriarch of the family and oldest sister, Geri Lacey, Shirley Ruth, Almetha (Clyde) Long, Vivian (James) Culp, Katie (Lawrence) Digsby all of Rock Hill, SC, Linda Jemison of Huntersville, NC and Velle C. Strong of Charlotte, NC; a faithful friend, Ellen Payne; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
