Deborah Jean McCollough, 67, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at her residence in Charlotte, NC.

Deborah Jean “Deb” McCollough, 67, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 1st 2026, surrounded by love.

Deb was born on January 25th 1959, in Lee County, South Carolina. She lived a life grounded in faith, love, and quiet strength. Known for her kind heart, her love left a lasting mark on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ranzy Lee McCollough and brother, Ramsey Baldwin of Burlington, NC, whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Deb graduated from North Mecklenburg High School, class of 1977, where she was a flag girl and drove a school bus. She went on to dedicate over 20 years of service to Walgreens Pharmacy before retiring.

In her final days, she was lovingly cared for by her devoted aunts, Lillian Franklin and Gwendolyn Weddington, whose compassion and dedication surrounded her with peace and dignity.

Deb leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving mother, Lula Faye McCollough; her sisters, Sherry Dixon, Angie Baldwin of Burlington, NC, Stephanie Curry of Newberry, SC and brother Trent Baldwin of Burlington, NC; her son, Demetrice McCollough (Tiffany) and daughter, Denekia Stroud (Leroy); three grandsons, Daylen McCollough, Onyx Stroud and Leroy Stroud Jr; her beloved niece and daughter-in-love, Shonda Bacchus (Eugene); her special nephews, whom she loved as her own grandsons, Kwonterrious McCollough, Jayden Stitt and Ethan Bacchus. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Deb was known not only for her deep love for her family, but also for her quick wit, unforgettable comebacks and “cuss outs” that somehow always came from a place of love. She was real, she was strong and that is exactly what made her so special to everyone who knew her.

Deb was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
