Mrs. Delores Costella Houston, 90 of Charlotte, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care.  She was born on November 24, 1928 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Raymond and Grace Robinson.

She was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and Central Piedmont School of Nursing in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Houston Jr., III.

Delores was a faithful member of East Stonewall AME Zion Church until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her beloved husband of 74 years, Mr. John Houston Jr., II; two daughters, Carolyn (Charles) Nichols and Sylvia Ann Houston, all of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
