Celebration of Life for Dennis Blakeney

Mr. Dennis Blakeney, 70 of Charlotte, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at his residence.  He was born February 2, 1951 to the late Henry Blakeney Sr. and Emma Morrison.

Dennis attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  He briefly worked for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and City Diamond Supply.

Dennis loved to cook and be around his family.  He enjoyed working in the garden.  His favorite football team was the Carolina Panthers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Williamson and Rozanne Blakeney, and stepson, Tyree Judge.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Joanne Blakeney; daughters, Tamonica Blakeney (Sam) and Kamaka Blakeney; stepsons, Michael Judge (Lori) and James Judge (Mary); seventeen grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
