Mr. Derrico J. Edney was born August 23, 1980 in Charlotte, NC to Wanda Timothy and Leonard Brown. He departed this life on Tuesday June 30, 2020 at his residence.

Derrico was a graduate of NC State Board Community College. He was very passionate, fun and entertaining. Wherever you would see him he was full of smiles, as he would say (it don't cost nothing to smile). He was known for sucking on his thumb, even after his mom Wanda put hot sauce on it as a child, that didn't stop him. He was just one of a kind "Loved".

He is preceded in death by Uncle Patrick Edney (Natasha) and aunt Paula Bradley.

He leaves to cherish fodn memories: his mother, Wanda Timothy (Fred), father, Leonard Brown, sister, Sharenea Brown, all of Charlotte, NC, son, Kamron Jemonte' Young of Charlotte, and daughter  Nevaeh Edney of Newport MAine, two grandmothers, Idella McLaughlin (Sugar Foot) and Irene Brown of Charlotte, aunt, Shunda Sowell and uncle Warren Edney of Charlotte, loving fiance' Melennie Silk of Los Angeles, California, very special friend Ron Kennedy and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
