Destyni Evell Wilson, 34 of Charlotte, NC made her heavenly transition on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on October 20, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York.
Destyni was the youngest daughter of three siblings born to the late Steve and Edith Wilson. The Wilson family resided in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY where Destyni attended elementary school in New York City. She then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she attended middle school and high school. Upon graduation she completed her education earning a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She became a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina by way of Brooklyn and Metro-Atlanta Georgia. Upon graduation she wanted to follow in the steps of her big sister "Mel Mel" (Vonlonda) in various positions within the Banking Industry. Destyni began working as a Independent Contractor for Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Destyni's Love for Life
Destyni loved life. She was full of laughter, loved to pose and take pictures and was very passionate about her hair, nails and make-up. She loved to look good ya'll. She attended New Beginning's Church in Charlotte, NC where she volunteered in helping the youth. She love young people and loved to assist where she could.
Cherishing Destyni's Memory
Destyni Evell Wilson fought a good fight ad finished her course. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
7. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Destyni will be remembered by her family and friends and all who knew her for her loving heart and genuine personality of love and grace. We will remember and cherish the memories and keep her in our hearts.
Destyni leaves a legacy of LOVE and FAITH in God to her sister, Vonlonda as she affectionally called Mel Mel, of Atlanta, GA, her brother Jermaine, of Philippines, 4 aunts, Nelleen Underwood, of Brooklyn, NY, Martha Hendricks (Stevenson), of Cherry Hill, NJ, Gloria Wilson, of Columbia, SC, JoAnne Dennis, of Columbia, SC, 5 Uncles, Melvin Underwood, of Aurora Chicago, Harold Underwood, of Phoenix City, Alabama, Kirk Wilson, of Florida, Johnny, of Columbia, SC, Jeff, of Columbia, SC, 1 nephew Aiden, her boyfriend Rhashard and a host of cousins, friends and church family.
We will cherish your memories in our hearts. What a reunion it will be when we all meet in the great by and by. So long for Now!
