Dollie Mae Lockett, 79 of Charlotte, passed away on December 24, 2019 at Atrium Health-Main.  She was born on September 14, 1948, in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Monroe and Georgia Hunt Lockett.

Dollie was a graduate of Second Ward High School, Class of 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She worked at Aramark Uniform Services for 47 years where she retired.

Dollie was a long time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where she served on the Young Adult Choir in her early years.

Besides her parents, Dollie was preceded in death by three brothers, Avant Lockett, Charles Lockett and Robert Lockett.

Dollie leaves to cherish her memories one son, Anthony Lockett (Cassandra) of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Rebecca Lockett of Matthews, NC and Emma Lockett-Wells of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Daniel Lockett (Pat) of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Anthony Steele (Amber) of Charlotte. NC; Amiri Lockett of Rock Hill, SC; Shanna McCarthy (Chris) of Fort Worth, TX and Genis Pegues, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and four great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Annette Lockett and Betty Lockett, both of Charlotte, NC; a devoted niece, Demetrice Lockett and two special nephews, Curtis Craig (Tara) and Devaris Lockett, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
