Ms. Doretha Elizabeth Davis daughter of the late Hattie Ruth Staton and the late Willie Ray Davis. Doretha was loved and raised by her mother and step father James Charles (JC) Staton. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, May 23,1961 and lived a vibrant and selfless life until July 10, 2020.

Doretha was educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg School Systems, graduating from Olympic High School in 1979. Next pursing higher education at Central Piedmont Community College, she received an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Due to her hardworking and adventurous nature she did not limit herself and embarked on multiple job opportunities such as but not limited to companies like Mann Travel, Vanguard, and Duke Energy.

She received Christ at an early age starting out at her family church of Greater Galilee Baptist Church, and later joined Greater Mount Saint Baptist Church and was an active member for over 20 years. She dedicated her life to living by the quote "The Brave Don't Live Forever But The Cautious Don't Live At All."

Doretha was preceded in death by her twin sons Elston and Alston Davis along with her favorite aunt, Thelma Watkins. To love and cherish her memory is her one loving daughter Katera Davis, her God children Che Davis, Artimaous Boular, Morgan O'Brien, Ashley Bwewa, and Kaitlyn Chesney. Four siblings; Anye Jones, Jane Askew, Charlene Davis, and Michael Davis. And lastly, her loyal four-legged companion Chloe Davis.
