Mrs. Doris L. Davis, 70, wife of Willie J. Davis entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2019 at Atrium Health.  She was born on November 26, 1948 to the late Bernice Young Hunter and James "Buddy" Hunter.

Doris was loving, gentle, Kindhearted person.  She was a faithful member of Truth Tabernacle Church of God while also serving on the Usher Board.

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Latonia Davis and 1 son, Robert Davis; 2 brothers, Willie J. Hunter and Robert Hunter; and 1 sister, Ruby Burns.

She attended school in Lancaster County where she met Willie J. Davis and were later united in marriage and to this union 4 children were born.  They later relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she became a machine operator for Pharr Yarn for over thirty years.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband; Willie J. Davis, 3 sons, Willie J. Davis Jr., (Mae), Gary L. Davis (Maria) and Shaun Smith; 1 special grandson, Davion Davis whom she raised; 1 sister, Carrie Mae Robertson; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol J. Parker and Katie L. Davis; 5 nieces, 8 nephews, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of family members.
