Ms. Doris Mitchell, 70 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019 at Willow Ridge Assisted Living.

Doris was born in Prescott, Arkansas on October 16, 1948.

Doris was an amazing woman who enjoyed traveling and taking care of children.  She ran her own childcare center and was president of the neighborhood at risk youth center called Next Generation Youth Group.  Most children and adults called her Mommy Doris because she enjoyed helping and taking care of others.

She liked going to Atlantic City and loved to listen to music, sing and dance.  She did love her Hennessy.

Doris Mitchell leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Kimberly Connor, Kasheena Connor and Shayla Mithchell; seven wonderful grandchildren, Mia Blakey, Robert Tate, Jasmine Williams, Jashonda Williams, Johnny Williams, Talena Frazier, Lily Mitchell; and five great-grandchildren.
