Mrs. Dorothy Hattie Louise Moore, 91, of Charlotte, NC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at White Oak Manor.  She was born May 29, 1933, in Charlotte, NC as the youngest child of the late Washington and Mozelle Johnson.

A proud graduate of Second Ward High School, Dorothy continued her education at Carver College, where she studied bookkeeping. On June 8, 1963, Dorothy was united in Holy Matrimony with Warren T. Moore, with whom she shared fifty years of marriage until his passing. She retired from Belk Department Store as a sales associate after 21 years of dedicated service. In retirement, Dorothy found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a passionate music lover and an avid puzzle enthusiast.

Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She served faithfully until her health declined, holding roles as an usher and founding member of the Matrons.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Wanda Moore and Leslie Martin (Greg); four grandchildren, William Moore, Bryana Martin, Warren Moore (Shamicia) and Wanda "Angel" Moore; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
