Ms. Dorothy Pitts,(also known as Big Dot), 74 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday October 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 1, 1945 in Rowland, NC to the late Ida Mae and Roosevelt Bullard.

She graduated from Rowland High School.  Mrs. Pitts worked at Presbyterian and Carolinas Medical Center for over 4 decades combined. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Big Dot enjoyed cooking for her family (especially during the holidays), shopping, laughing and talking junk.  She also loved plants and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; James Albert Bullard and Clinton Bullard.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Harvey Pitts; stepchildren; LaTonya Anderson, Chamelle Lockhart, Ronald Moore, Harvey Pitts, Jr., Anthony Pitts, Felicia Pitts, Stacey Terry, Iris Terry, Charles Terry and Yvette Terry; one sister, Inell Bullard, two brothers; Giles Bullard and Leroy Bullard, a goddaughter, Betty and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and play daughters.
