Eddie Leon McMurray was born April 29, 1948, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the son of the late J.W. George and Edna McMurray. God saw fit to call home another angel on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Eddie graduated from Second Ward High School on May 31, 1966, and soon after, he went to work for ACME and Harris Teeter Warehouse until he retired.

He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed. He was a beautiful person and would feed you if you were hungry. He would make you eat. He loved to go on trips and fish.

He was preceded in death by hils loving parents, J. W. George and Edna McMurray, sister, Barbara Withers, Betty Daye; and brothers, George McMurray, Jr. , and Michael McMurray.

Left to cherish his fond memories are a loving wife, Linda McMurray; a loving daughter, Felicia Carr (Walter); a loving son Tony Davis(Bonnie) of Alberta, Virginia; a loving sister, Brenda Pearce; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; five nieces, seven nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
