Mrs. Edith Lucile Forney, 78 of Charlotte, departed this earthly life on September 12, 2021 at University Place Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Chesterfield County, SC on September 1, 1943 to Willie and Lucile Garner Wilson.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

Edith is survived by her loving Husband Bobby Forney of the home, along with the 3 daughters born to their union; Barbara Forney, Tina Austin, and Trena Forney; her 2 sisters; Betty Robinson, Bernice Massey, Karen Forney and Juanita Boyd; 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Forney and Charlie Forney; 6 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter, 10 Great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
