Mr. Edward Lee Rann, 78 of Indian Trail, departed his earthly life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at University Place Rehabilitation Center of Charlotte.  He was born on April 12, 1944 in Charlotte, North Carolina within Mecklenburg County.

Mr. Rann was the son of the late Mrs. Louise Rann and Mr. Johnny Reel.  He was a proud graduate of the infamous West Charlotte Senior High School.  After graduation, he joined and served his country for four years as a distinguished member of the United States Army.  Mr. Rann fought in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.  After leaving the Army, Mr. Rann began working for the United States Postal Service as a parcel delivery person until his retirement.

In his spare time, Mr. Rann enjoyed fellowship with his friends and family.

The legacy he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Mrs. Shelia Smith Rann; children, Edward Sharnelle Rann of Charlotte, NC, Mr. Jimmy Daevon White of Greenville, SC, and Ms. Kimberly Williams (Thomas) of Fort Mill, SC; siblings, Ms. Willette Crowder, Ms. Barbara Reel, Ms. Yvonne Reel and Mr. Bernard Reel; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Virginia Carson (James), Ms. Gloria Sifford, Mrs. Patricia Howey (Wade) and Mrs. Donna D. Smith; and many adoring grands, great-grands, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
