Mr. Edward Earl Rivera, 59, of Indian Trail, NC, departed this life on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Atrium Health Pineville.

Edward Earl Rivera was born on September 21,1964 at Nyack Hospital. He was the beloved son of Sixto & Diane Rivera. He attended the Nyack Public School System and joined the Army in November of 1981.Edward Earl was a handsome, charismatic young man that was popular and well liked by all. He was extremely close to his older brother Terrance (predeceased), they both enjoyed adventurous activities and living life on the edge.

Edward Earl lived in Nyack, New York for most of his life and later moved to Indian Trail, North Carolina where he enjoyed fishing with his dear Uncle Peter. He was a self- taught barber and loved riding motorcycles. He experienced many joys and accomplishments in life, but the most joyful of his accomplishments was becoming a father to sons Da'ron,

Edward, Jr.(Eddie), Roman and daughters Marlena, Aisha & Zia and a doting grandfather to granddaughters Ashanti and Nirvana.

Edward Earl turned his life over to God in 1990 and became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Piermont, NY. Edward Earl later married his beautiful wife Aisha Strothers on December 31, 1996.

Edward Earl had a contagious smile and sense of humor. He can always put a smile on your face. He always kept his physical appearance up to par and always looked sharp before stepping out into the world.

Edward Earl is predeceased by his brother Terrance Derrick Rivera, Sr., nephew Terrance Derrick Rivera, Jr. and niece Tialihia Danielle Rivera.

He is survived by his wife Aisha Rivera, children Da'ron, Edward, Jr. (Eddie), Marlena, Aisha, Zia and Roman, granddaughters Ashanti and Nirvana, his mother Diane Rivera, father Sixto Rivera, brother Lonnie Rivera, sister Frances Rivera, and a of host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

On Monday, July 22,2024 Edward Earl left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be missed greatly here on earth by all those who loved him. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel and he is smiling down on us today.
