Edward Ardrey, Sr. 86 of Charlotte, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Atrium Health Main.

Edward "Eddie" Ardrey was the son of Antha and Fred Ardrey born on July 31, 1935 in Charlotte, NC. He was a graduate of Plato Price High School class of 1953.

He is survived by two brothers, Herman Ardrey, Fred Ardrey Jr and one sister, Mary Walker all of Charlotte. A wife of 65 years, Thelma Ardrey followed by four children Julius, Audrey, Marcus, and Edward Jr (Deceased), a many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and a host of family members and friends.

He worked 13 years at Union Carbide company making military batteries and worked for another 31 years at consolidated freight where he retired.

He was a devoted man of god, and an active member of East Stonewall AME Zion Church. He enjoyed life and everyone he came in contact with.
