Mrs. Eleanor Drew Lee, 72 of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Thomasville, GA to the late Lillie Neal and Ned Drew on December 20, 1948.

Mrs. Eleanor Lee love and embraced everybody she met.  She especially loved and supported all the children.  She provided after-school daycare for parents in need.  And she just enjoyed feeding them all.

From a young age she enjoyed cooking.  She graduated from Essex County Girls Vocational School in Newark, NJ, as a Dietician.  She went on to work for major hotel chains in that capacity for many years.  And held her last position at a Marriott location in Charlotte, NC.

Upon her passing, she was a Disciple of St. Paul Baptist Church, 1401 N Allen Street, Charlotte, NC.  She joined in April of 2000, along with her husband, under the then Sr. Pastor, Dr. Gregory Keith Moss Sr.

She was a Faithful member of the Usher's Ministry for 15 years.  And she began that journey under the leadership of David Jones.  She was also a member of The Chosen Vessels Ministry for 8 years, under the leadership of Paulette Higgins. She served in many unspoken ministries of love and devotion over the years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 51 years, John Thomas Lee; two sons, Rodney Lee Sr. (Chauntelle), William Chisolm; seven grandchildren, Nafesah Lee, Rodney Lee Jr., and 5 Chisolm children; 1 great-grandchild; Chyanne Thomas; one sister, Gloria Hawkins (Edward); two brothers, Sherlock Drew (Veronica) and Aaron Drew; one sister-in-law, Annie Lee Bridget; two brothers-in-law, James "JW" Lee and Lavern Lee Sr; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that span the entire country.  She also leaves her best friends, Karen McFarland of Mullins, SC, and Katherine and Johnnie Mae of NJ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Keith Drew; one brother, Ned C. Drew; two sisters-in-law, Vera Chisolm and Spring Lee; two brothers-in-law, David Lee and Pendarvis; and one of her best friends, Pearl of Charlotte, NC.

The family would like to extend the invitation to attend her services this Monday, in person. To provide a safe environment we ask that each person who desires to come in person to pre-register in advance online or register on-site on Monday morning.
