Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Elizabeth Ann Gomillion, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 17, 1950 and passed away on Thursday August 04, 2022, with her son Sebastian by her side.

Elizabeth was a good mother that followed her heart.  She was a special and feisty one who loved to sing and dance.  She enjoyed housekeeping and was employed doing so for most of her life.  She worked hard to ensure her sons had everything they needed, even if it meant sacrificing herself.  She loved her family, and to her, family came first.  Her grandson, Solomon, was her everything.  She enjoyed his visits and spending time with him.

Elizabeth was a fighter in both a literal and spiritual sense.  She did whatever she needed to protect her own.  She fought a hard battle and went through a lot in life and faced a lot of challenges, but she persevered until the end.  She was celebrated in life and will be celebrated in her departure, she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents George and Hattie Philips; grandparents, Leroy Stevenson and Elizabeth Covington; father, Robert Goodson; mother, Margaret S. McCorkle; son, Bruce D. Goodson and brother Charles M. Alexander.

She leaves to cherish joyous memories, by only living son, Sebastian Goodson; her grandson, Solomon Goodson; her sisters, Sharon Alexander and Patricia Alexander; brother Willie J. Goodson; close cousin, Mary E. Huntley; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
