Ms. Elizabeth "Sissie" Seegars, 81 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2020. She was the baby girl of the late, Mr. James and Mrs. Ola Mae Seegars; born October 30, 1938 in Chesterfield County South Carolina.

She was known by family as "Sissie" and friends as "Liz".  She attended public school in Pageland, South Carolina Chester County.  At an early age she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Liz spent the majority of her adult life living in Queens, New York.  She was employed by the Dorset Company and later worked for the Adam Lab Company on Long Island City until retirement.  During her retirement she relocated back to Charlotte, North Carolina. She was home.

She was established in her faith.  She began her Christian life at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC and became a faithful member of the Greater Fellowship Baptist Church Hymn Choir. She was a member of the Greater Fellowship Baptist Church Hymn Choir.

Liz was very jovial....Always smiling....Loved her family....Loved to entertain….Love to garden and plant flowers (digging in the dirt)….cooking was one of her greatest joys.  During her life time she made many friends and was loved and respected by everyone she knew.  She was and was known to be a very "Classy Lady".

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Vanessa Seegars of Fayetteville, NC and Victoria Seegars of Charlotte, NC; grandson, James Curtis Seegars Davis of Charlotte, NC; two great grandchildren, Kameren Denee Watson of Cary, NC and Braylin James Curtis Seegars of Hope Mills, NC; one sister, Lela Cureton of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear special friends.

In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; James Seegars, Curtis Seegars, Eugene Seegars, Mrs. Bernice Lavigne, Mrs. Alma Appling, and Mrs. Minnie Mungo; her granddaughter, Jessica Elizabeth Seegars; and two nieces, Jeanene Seegars and Brenetta Curtiss.
