Elmo "Terry" Quioves aka "D J Masterq" transitioned from earth to heaven on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Elmo, the son of Clarence and Lillian Lucas was born on October 24 in Mobile, Alabama, but he later resided in Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from William Penn High School where he was an accomplished and talented athlete. Elmo loved music and loved being the life of a gathering by introducing and playing music as a "DJ Masteriq. He also loved singing, dancing, and playing drums.
He sang with the Heavenly Voices Choir and played drums with the Daughters of Faith. Elmo accepted Christ and his call to ministry and was licensed to being working for God. He then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he met and married the love of his life Gloria Jackson. While in Charlotte, Elmo worked as a Traffic Tech and Flagger for Ansco until his death. Elmo's greatest treasure was the time he spent with family and friends reminiscing about family fun and making happy memories around music and a BBQ grill.
Elmo was preceded in death by his grandmother, father, and a brother, Maurice "Shoota" and a daughter, Tina.
Elmo leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Gloria Quiovers; a loving and devoted mother, Lillian Lucas; a loving sister, Angela Gant; a loving daughter, Jasmae Quiovers; Tamika Marsh, Torento Daniels; a loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Nadrayll and Sheray Jenkins; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, one great niece, nephews, cousins, and friends; two favorite brothers-in-law, James and Patrick Jackson; one aunt and two uncles, and a best friend, Ronald Jackson.
