Mrs. Elouise Pinckney Boyd, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. She was born on April 25, 1935, in Mecklenburg County, NC, the daughter of the late Reverend Fred Pinckney and Zura Gather Pinckney.

Elouise retired as the Food Service Manager at Myers Park HIgh School, in Charlotte, NC.

Elouise was a faithful member of Temple Chapel Baptist Church which was founded by her father Reverend Fred Pinckney. She served with love and care in The Cheerful Workers Ministry and The Trustee Board (Emeritus).

She loved travelling, shopping, doing her crossword puzzles, watching Family Feud, and during football season, cheering on her Carolina Panthers at the stadium. She was a loving member of Alpha Pi Chi Sorority, Inc.

Elouise was predeceased by her husband, John Andrew Boyd, and her son, Eric Boyd.

She is survived by her sons, Milton Boyd (Lois), Antonio Boyd (Wynne), and Robert Hawkins (Darlene). Elouise also has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was one of twelve children and is also survived by her sister Elizabeth David of Detroit Michigan, sister-in-law, Mrs. Penny Summons(Gregory), along with many treasured and loved nephews, nieces, and a host of very special friends.
