Eric D. Blocker, Sr. 66 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Eric Dale Blocker, Sr. was born to Jennell and Eva Belle Rushing Blocker on July 6, 1955 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He passed away August 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife of 14 years and close family members.

Eric was an employee at CATS where he drove the city bus for over 30 years in Charlotte, NC. He loved his sports and movies. Eric also loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He never met a stranger.

Eric married his "lady love", Shandra Moore of Charlotte in 2008. Altogether they have five children.

Eric Dale Blocker was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jennell Blocker, Jr., and one sister, Peggy Lynn Blocker Brady all of Charlotte, NC. He is survived by his wife, Shandra Blocker, three sons: Eric Dale Blocker, Rashun Da'Mar Oliver, Sheldon Gregory (Ashley), two daughters: Erica Imani Blocker and Elisea Rochelle Keaton. Grandchildren: Khani Johnson (son of Erica Imani), Aiden Tomis, Lamari Lee Grant (sons of Elisea), A'nilee Que Cee Gregory (daughter of Sheldon) all of Charlotte, NC. Four sisters: Lynette Blocker Richmond (Walter), Helen Blocker French, Claudia Blocker McKissack, Marguerite Blocker Moore and a host of family members and friends.

He gave my darling husband a heart of solid gold,
