Mr. Eric Maurice Brunson, 64, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Atrium-Main.

Eric Maurice Brunson was born on March 14, 1960, to the late Ethel Mae Brunson and Joseph Smith of Charlotte, NC.  Eric Brunson departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Eric attended Independence High School and served in the United States Army for a brief time, in which he fought for many years to receive his full benefits.

He was a devoted son, brother and uncle who always tried to do whatever he could to help out in time of need.  He'd always remember everyone's birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions, often calling to express his well wishes.

Eric was preceded in death by his father Joseph Smith, his mother Ethel Mae Brunson, and sister Veronica Brunson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters, Linda Williams (Charles), Beverly Hinton (Johnny); one brother, Jeffrey Brunson (Cynthia), all of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Cleesa Osborne (Marvin) and Aiesha "Angel" Brunson of Charlotte, NC; five nephews, Brandon Spears, Cepeda Brunson, and Rashaad Brunson, all of Charlotte, NC, Jerome Brunson of Hampton, VA and Jeremy Brunson (May) of Spain; and a host of aunts, uncles, great-nephews, great-nieces, other extended family and friends.
