Mr. Ervin Gentry, Jr. 74, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Mecklenburg Health & Rehab.

Mr. Ervin Gentry, Jr., 74, of Charlotte, NC, was born on July 20, 1950, in Elkin, NC, to the late Mr. Ervin Elsworth Gentry and to the late Mrs. Bertie Mae Gentry.  He was married to Mrs. Linda S. Gentry.  Ervin departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Charlotte, NC.

Ervin served in the United States Marine Corps for three years.  After serving in the Marines, he worked for several companies, both in Dobson, NC and Charlotte, NC.  His last job was driving "professionally" for Harris Teeter in Matthews, N.C.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Mrs. Linda S. Gentry; three sisters, Ms. Nettie J. Gentry, Ms. Judy Gentry, Mrs. Lottie Williams (Willie), all of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Mr. Charlie Gentry of Kinston, NC, Mr. Kenneth Gentry (Kim) of Charlotte, NC; three aunts, Mrs. Viola Hampton of Elkin, NC, Mrs. Lula Gentry of Winston Salem, NC, Mrs. Sara Bell Gentry of Bethania, NC; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
