Ms. Ethel Augusta Dunbar Knuckles Wah, 91 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday March 31, 2019 at Saturn Nursing Home. She was born September 1, 1928 in Monrovia, Liberia to George Agustus Dunbar and Emmie Marion Payne Harmon. Ethel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In 1959, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained a faithful servant to Jehovah until her passing. Her love for Jehovah and fellow man moved her to serve as Regular Pioneer devoting more than 55 hours a month teaching and preaching the Good News of God's Kingdom.
In her career, she was a Life Insurance Agent and Counselor at Law. She reached out and helped many people in her hometown.
She is preceded in death, by her husbands, Willis D. Knuckles Sr. and Jacob S. Wah; her sons, Munch Wah, Willis D. Knuckles Jr., George Dunbar Knuckles, Sr., Winton A. Knuckles, and Roland Knuckles.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Bushin Knuckles Wilson and Marie Antionette Knuckles; her sons, Gabriel E. Knuckles III (Lenshaine), Raymond Alfred Knuckles, Sr., and Moses Knuckles Hampton; grandchildren, Willismae King, George Dunbar Knuckles Wilson, Jackie Wilson, Hawa-Ellen Knuckles, Willis D. Knuckles, III, Ethel V. Knuckles, Gabriel Knuckles, Wede-Joy Knuckles Johnson, Gabrielle Nee Knuckles Russell, Gilbert Knuckles, Gilead Knuckles, Gabriella Emma Knuckles, Georgette Ethel Knuckles, George Dunbar Knuckles,Jr., Jewel Knuckles Ashiq, Marcia Knuckles Wins, Ashley Knuckles Aborisade, Raymond Knuckles, Jr., Bushin Knuckles, Rachel Knuckles, Samuel Forko, Jr., Willis D. Forko and more than 15 great-grandchildren and several relatives and friends.
