Eva Mae Johnson, 87 of Charlotte, departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Novant Health-Main Hospice.  She was born to the late Christine W. Johnson and Willie Jack Johnson on August 26, 1933 in Laurens, South Carolina.

Ms. Johnson graduated from Second Ward High School in 1952.  She was a life time member of Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church, and served on many organizations.  She was a Beginner and Primary Sunday School teacher, member of The Voices of Sinai, The Matrons, TF Fraylon Missionary, Nursery, Youth Department and the Young at Hearts.

She was employed with Hord Photography, Kenny Photo Lab, land several other photography companies for over 50 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories a special and devoted cousin, Kitiki Kilgore of Flat Rock, NC; other cousins, Mr. Shirley Johnson of Chino, CA, Dorothy Johnson of Cincinnati, OH, Ms. Surleada Newborn of East Flat Rock, NC, Carrie Johnson and Eugene Stowe of Charlotte, NC; and her adopted family, Cherie Jones and children of Richmond, VA.  She will be truly missed by her GMSBC Family and many friends.
