Mrs. Eva Misenheimer Singleton, 81, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Novant Presbyterian Main.

Mrs. Eva Misenheimer Singleton, age 81, was called to eternal rest, Monday, July 1, 2024.  She was born December 28, 1942, in Midland, North Carolina.  Her parents were the late Joseph and Etta Misenheimer.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hozie Singleton, three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

She was educated in the Shankletown School System and worked for the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System .  Later she was employed as a healthcare worker with Lawyers Glen.  Eva was also an avid child care provider for many years.

Eva was a faithful dedicated member of Macedonia Baptist Church.  She served on the Usher Board, the Kitchen Committee, the adult chair and as a member of the Custodial Staff.  Eva also worked with the Children's Church Ministry.  Anything that was needed at Macedonia, Eva always was available to work in the house of the Lord.

To know her was to love her.  She would give her last to help anyone.  She loved playing cards and bingo.  She was very outspoken and a loveable woman.  Eva is known and loved for her fat back and Deviled Eggs.

She leaves to cherish a legacy of love and fond memories to her daughters, Carolyn Hutchison (June), JoAnn Misenheimer of Charlotte, NC; sons, Barry Misenheimer of Charlotte, NC, Chris Singleton of Walterboro, SC, David Singleton (Lisa), Sanchez Singleton of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Moniece, Jakobe Hutchison and Tahj Singleton of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Azariah, Malaysia, Kyrie Singleton; sisters, Rose Black, Rosetta Baskins, Elaine Polk and brother, Aaron Polk, all of Charlotte, NC.  She is also survived by three sisters-in-law; special goddaughters, Fredia Warren (Hubert), Tabatha Miller, Stephanie Anderson (Terry); granddaughters, Jasmine, Baskins, Deja; and grandson, Demar Anderson of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
