Francis F. Wabibi, 32 of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. Francis was born on June 27, 1990, in Charlotte, NC to Marie-Jeanne and Vemba Wabibi. He was the third born out of four children. Francis entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Without a doubt, Francis was an incredibly gifted artist. His passion to create was quite evident throughout his life. He began drawing while in kindergarten and continued to hone his skills over the years. His talent eventually landed him a coveted spot at Northwest School of the Arts. His love and dedication to his craft remains an inspiration to many. Francis personally described his style of art as abstract and original. He enjoyed creating thought provoking pieces that harbor a deeper meaning. Acrylics and watercolors were among his most favorite mediums to work with.
His artwork is deeply loved by people from all walks of life. His captivating murals were on display at Oso Skate Park (Charlotte, NC). Many viewed his artwork during his tenure at the Charlotte Art League. He presented and competed in numerous competitions offered through non-profit organizations. His artwork was even highlighted in the Charlotte Observer. In addition to creating solo artwork, Francis thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with other artists as well.
Outside of his talent, Francis will greatly be missed for countless of reasons. His infectious smile, sense of humor, generosity, and kind soul are among the many reasons why he is greatly loved. Francis always enjoyed a good laugh and never took life too seriously. He loved traveling to new cities and was always up for an adventure. He was never afraid to take risks even when the odds seemed impossible. What's most remarkable is the amount of love he had in his heart for all his family and friends.
Francis was preceded in death by his grandparents. He leaves behind his mother, Marie-Jeanne Wabibi and Father, Vemba Wabibi; three siblings, Carla Wabibi, Ken Wabibi, and Shana Wabibi; his sister-in-law, Candace Wabibi; loving nephew, Ezra Wabibi; and a host of extended family and friends.
