Frankie, son of the late Haywood and Mae Fannie Huntley Pegues was born in Charlotte, NC on March 12, 1967. He departed from us on January 26, 2024 peacefully at home. He was 56.
Frankie Pegues was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend that carried around one of the most powerful smiles in the world. His presence was humbling because he always carried a quiet presence that was always there, and it will always be missed. He was not the loudest in the room, but he was always in the room.
In his early childhood days, he grew up in Earle Village surrounded by his family in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and proceeded to join the Navy. Shortly, thereafter, he started working at Carolinas Medical Center as a Sterilizing Processing Technician.
Within a few years, he welcomed his two boys into the world that he was very proud of. Frank became a childcare daycare driver safely driving kids to and from school everyday.
Frankie is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved infant son Marquez Pegues.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Javario Frankie Pegues (Amber), Pernell Deion Brown (T'Ajai) ; three grandchildren; Malloryn Elise Worthy, Journey Jariah Pegues, Ameer Josiah Pegues; six siblings: Haywood Pegues, Jr., Patricia Ann Patterson (Stephen), Denise Pegues, Jacqueline Pegues, Dennis Pegues, Shanquie Pegues, and a host of other family members.
