With mournful hearts, The Umoja and Johnson families regret to announce the passing of our husband, dad, granddad, great-granddad, Reverend Frederick Umoja, who departed this world on Saturday,  December 23, 2023, at his home with his family.

Reverend Umoja leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Mrs. Veta Dennis-Umoja, his children: Brian Johnson, Jacqueline Johnson, Troy Banmore, Adolphus Umoja, Chad-Malik Umoja, Che-Dai Umoja and Candace Umoja; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, Cousin Harold Brewer, and a host of many other children, relatives, friends and well wishers.

Reverend Umoja was predeceased by his parents: Nadyne Brewer & Robert Johnson, great-grandmother Gussie Henderson (as he affectionately called her Mama), brother Douglas Rauch,  and two children; Tracy Johnson and Shani Umoja.

May the soul of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend; The Reverend Frederick Umoja Rest In Perfect Peace.  He will be dearly remembered and his memory will forever be cherished.  May God grant peaceful repose to Reverend Frederick Umoja and may Light Eternal shine upon him.
