Mr. George Rinnix Sr, 82 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday September 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 15, 1936 to the late Pastor Arlene Barnett West and John Rinnix.

George was educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and Retired from Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) after 48 years of service.

George loved to spend time with family, going to the country for cookouts at his Aunt Maggie Bell Moore's house who is 101 years old, and playing cards in "Grier Town". He never met a stranger, and everyone loved him.  Some of his lifetime hobbies were golfing. bowling, billiards, checkers and he was a Nascar race fan.  He was a Carolina Panther fan, and Golden State Warrior fan, because of Stephen Curry, who grew up in Charlotte, NC.

George was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Rinnix, daughter Valerie Ann Springs, and brother Willie James Rinnix.

He leaves to cherish his many memories, Son's: Minister Jerry Rinnix, Brian Rinnix, George Rinnix Jr., George Mickle (Karen), and Rodney Allen Mitchell.  Daughter's: Wanda Hamilton (David), Diane Rinnix (Herman), and Dana Green.  Also, many grandchildren and great grands: along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
