A TIME TO BE BORN: Gladys C. Leak affectionately known as "Teen," was the oldest of ten children born to the late Talner Dewitt Clark and Katherine Clark on November 18, 1945 in Chester, South Carolina. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with her parents at an early age.
A TIME TO WORSHIP: Gladys was introduced to Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age. She was a lifetime member at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served God. Gladys was a dedicated servant of the church and a volunteer of the Good Samaritan Kitchen. She was a faithful and dedicated usher, and a leader of the youth usher ministry.
A TIME TO REMEMBER: Gladys was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and loving friend to many. She was a loving and supportive mother who took pride in her family. Gladys instilled values of compassion, dependability, dedication, and a strong belief in God. She will be remembered fondly as
a loving, humble, kind-hearted woman who enjoyed spending time with family, laughing, caring for others and lived life to the fullest. Gladys had such a beautiful smile, and a calm spirit. She adored her family, children, and grandchildren. Everyone who met and knew her always received a genuine warm smile as a friendly expression of love from her. Family was everything
to Gladys whether immediate or extended. She was known to many people as "Teen". Glady's favorite saying was "God will take care of it."
