Glenda Lamb Miller, 66 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Atrium Health - Main. She was born on May 31, 1955 in Clinton, North Carolina, the only child of George and Bessie Lee.
Glenda was educated in the Sampson County school system where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1973. Upon graduation she entered the workforce earning the distinction of becoming the first African American bank teller at BB&T (formerly Southern National Bank) in Sampson County. Throughout Glenda's professional career, she worked in various facets of the financial industry. She was also a successful business owner and real estate investor.
Glenda's hobbies included gardening, interior decorating, real estate, and online trading.
The two greatest joys of Glenda's life were her daughter, Vondrette and grandson, Donavon. Glenda enjoyed every moment spent with them.
Preceding Glenda in death were her grandmother, Claude Lamb and sister, Sharon Williams.
Mourning her home going are her parents, Bessie Watts of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and George Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee; a sister, Jacqueline Stokes (Booker T.) of Eastvale, California; a daughter, Vondrette Davis (Ron) and grandson Donavon Davis of Mount Holly, North Carolina; former spouse, Harold Miller (Melinda) of Clinton, North Carolina and a host of remaining relatives and friends.
