Ms. Gloria Jean Curry, of Charlotte, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020.  She was affectionately known as "Jean," daughter of the late Delores Mobley Briggs and Jerome Jordan and was born March 19, 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Gloria was a 1976 graduate of Olympic High School, Charlotte, NC, and later enlisted into the Air National Guard and attended Central Piedmont Community College.

Gloria loved sitting in a rocking chair and reading great books.  She also loved sitting on the porch and enjoying nice weather.  Also one of her favorite things was to travel to the beach with family and cookouts. She especially loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chisholm.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.  She is survived by one daughter, Meleia Quenice Curry, two brothers, Calvin Curry II, and Tyrone Carlos Brown; two sisters, Zoretta Julia Curry, and Stephanie Tobias; three grandchildren, DeVion M. Robinson, Simone R. Pettis, and Bryce V. Pettis; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, cousins and friends.
