Mrs. Gracie Tinsley Redfern, 62 of Charlotte, departed this life on Monday, December 20, 2021 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Grady and Esther P. Tinsley, was born May 31, 1959 in Charlotte, NC.

She was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School.  After High School she furthered her education at Central Piedmont Community College, where she would obtain her Nursing Aide Certificate.  Gracie was employed at CMC/Atrium Hospital for 28 years before retiring.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Gracie leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 34 years, Alton Redfern Sr.; one daughter, Shonte Armstrong (Bobby); one son, Alton "Pooh" Redfern (LaChica); four beautiful grandchildren, Jalen, Camille, Addysin, and Ally; one brother, Bernard Price; three sisters-in-law, Joris Wilson (Eddie), Denise Scott, and Elisha Redfern; four brothers-in-law, Michael Redfern (Erica), Marlon Blanding (Shaun), Lamont Redfern (Maisha), and Eugene Redfern; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
