Grady loved to fish, go to yard sales, and estate sales. Grady was considered the neighborhood mayor of Wingate Park. Many men gathered "under the tree" for a wide range of conversation, and small engine talk. The younger generation gathered on the porch to ask about life and the journey to endure life challenges. Grady believed that you could find good in people and was known to help and receive help from the neighborhood fellas.
