Harold Rayburne Hammonds, 65 of Charlotte, departed this earthly life on Friday, November 18, 2022.  He was born on November 30, 1956 Mecklenburg County to the late Edna Mae Hammonds and Woodrow Hunter.

Harold graduated from Harding High School Class of 1974.  After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served 7 years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, William Henry Hammonds, Harvey Bruce Hammonds and Hearie lee Hammonds and one sister, Ora Lee Teal.

Harold leaves to cherish his fond memories six sisters, Doreatha Hammonds, Harriet Harrison, Deloris Hammonds, Magdalene Harris, Dorthy Land, Mary Caldwell; two brothers, Curtis Wells, Woodrow Wells; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and two special friends, Steven Salter and Carolyn Jamison, who he worked for.
