Harold James McCaskill, Jr., 56 of Charlotte, departed this life on earth quietly in the comfort of his own home on Thursday, March 31, 2022.  He was born in Mecklenburg County on April 12, 1965 to the late Harold J. and Geraldine McCaskill of Charlotte, NC.

Harold was educated in Mecklenburg County School System.  Unfortunately, due to life's twists and turns, Harold was unable to complete his education.  "Junior", as he was affectionately called by his family, would often reminiscence about his childhood.  His memory was phenomenal and he could recite a memory vividly from twenty to thirty years prior as if they occurred yesterday.

"Junior" was an avid sports fan.  At an early age, "Junior" excelled in sports.  His passion for "his Dallas Cowboys" was always expressed by four words.  He would often ask in good spirit and with a smirk, "HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS?!!"  He also loved the North Carolina Tarheels.

Harold established his personal relationship and accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age.  He was baptized at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  Harold absolutely loved his entire family.  He was never timid about expressing his love.  He would conclude each and every conversation with these three words, "I LOVE YOU!!!"   When those words were almost, if not yelled by "Junior", you felt loved!

Prior to Harold's departure, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Dicy McCaskill and his aunt, Angela Watts.

Left to cherish "Junior's" memories are his brothers, Derrick Anthony Hicklin (Alma) of Charlotte, NC and Curtis Anthony McCaskill (Linda) of Wilmington, DE; his aunt, Robin Hood (Carrdell) of Charlotte, NC; his uncle, Bishop Daniel Hicklin, Sr. of Plainfield, NJ; a "special" cousin, Tamela Blakeney of Rock Hill, SC; a special friend, Levert Lane II of Rock Hill, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, "special" cousins and "special" friends.
