Mr. Haywood "Beau" Bess, Jr., son of Alberta Bess and the late Haywood Bess, Sr., was born February 18, 1953 and departed this life on  Monday, September 7, 2020 at Atrium-Main, Charlotte, N.C.

Beau attended Harding High School and also attended Central Piedmont Community College for welding and auto mechanics. Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Alberta Bess; his daughter, Nikia Hemphill; one grandson, Hayden Hemphill; two sisters, Joyce Bess and Phyllis Bess; five brothers, William Robinson (Anne), Charles Robinson (Peggy), Omar Bess (Gloria), Cordell Bess, Fredrick Bess (Paula) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
