Henry Alexander, fondly known as "Pookie", was born on July 1, 1967, to the late PearlieMae Tedder and James Henry Alexander. He departed his earthly life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, to start his Heavenly life with the Lord.

Henry was employed by Food Lion for many years until his untimely death. He attended Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and was a 1987 graduate of Myers Park High School. He was very athletic; he played football and baseball and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and was always ready for an argument to defend them. He attended his last NFL game on October 10, 2021, which he thoroughly enjoyed, with a win for his team.

There wasn't anything more important to him than his family which he loved spending time with. Henry was a loving and devoted father to his children and was always there to give advice to all his nieces and nephews about life. Henry was a bonus father to the son he never had but will always be the girl dad to his daughters. He was always the life of the party and loved to have a good time. He would be the first to give his last to help someone out of a situation.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents James Henry Alexander and PearlieMae Tedder; one sister Charlene Thomas-Mason; Grandmother Sadie Thomas.

He leaves to cherish fond memories; three daughters: Schaccoa Hoover (Nathan) of Atlanta, Georgia, Adrie'ona Alexander and Nia Alexander both of Charlotte, N.C. significant other Sarah Faulkner; bonus son Terrence Brown "TJ"; two brothers James Alexander (Raven), Perry Alexander (Patricia); two sisters SarahMae Tedder and Carolyn Gaddy (Aaron) all of Charlotte, N.C. and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; one special niece and nephew that was reared in the home alongside him Chinethia Evens (James) and Tony Mason both of Charlotte, N.C.
