Henry Lorette Blakeney, 74 of Charlotte, departed this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on May 26, 1947, to the late Henry Blakeney and Emma Blakeney of Charlotte, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Blakeney and two sisters, Doris Williams and Roxanne Blakeney.

Henry worked as a truck driver for Martin Moving Service for many years.  He attended Woodlawn Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, NC.

Henry Blakeney is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Dixon and Shantel Tillman; and three sons, Christopher Dixon, Michael Dixon and Anthony Tillman.  He is also survived by his brother, Ronnie Blakeney.  He leave 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews; and best friend Sabrina Crowder and Claire Steele.
