Mr. Henry Coy McQueen was born June 29, 1946, in Robeson County, North Carolina. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Atrium Main.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter LaCoy McQueen, four brothers: Floyd McQueen, William G. McQueen, Wilton McQueen,
and George McQueen. six sisters: Mary Pauline Page, Almerta Patterson, Viola McCoy, Hester Hughes, Olene Edwards, and Nellie Rockett.

At an early age Henry joined Ohovah AME Church in Orrum, North Carolina. He graduated from Proctorville High School, after which he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina.  He joined New Emmanuel Congregational Church where he was a deacon and faithful member until his death.

He worked for many years for various companies in the Charlotte area including Bigger Brothers Furniture Company, Kale Lawing Business Supply Company, Office Supply Service, finally retiring from Kennedy Office Supply at the age of 70-year-old.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son Shawn Montgomery (Lisa), 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, Special friend Anita McQueen all of Charlotte, North Carolina. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews and many other family and friends.
