On Monday June 30, 2020, Henry Reeves Jr. transitioned and departed from this life to be with his Heavenly Father. He passed away at Peak Resources in Charlotte, NC. He was born May 17, 1928 to the late Henry Reeves Sr. and Cora Mae Dunham Reeves. Henry Reeves better known as "Big Daddy" attended York County School and later pursued his aviation license as a private pilot/crop duster under the leadership of Carpenter's Airport. He was also employed at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry for several years. He later accomplished his dream entrepreneurship as owner of a lucrative business as Reeves Upholstery and Furniture and later Unique Upholstery until retirement.

He was a loving father, humorous, soft spoken, easy temperament and a people person. His unique one of a kind laugh would fill the room with laughter. Big Daddy's love for deep sea fishing was always an enjoyable summer venture. His favorite pass time treats to satisfy his cravings were Milky Ways, Lil Debbie Nutty Buddy, a pepsi and  sweet hot coffee. Sweets for the Sweet . He will be surely missed by a host of friends and loved ones for his gentleness and humor.

Mr. Reeves is preceded in death by his wife Luvenia Reeves, one brother Robert Reeves, and sister Bessie Reeves Boyd.

Daddy leaves to cherish his memories his children, Janice Reeves Pitt (Desmond), Derrick Reeves (Reggie), Mary Catherine Nash and Beverly Jakson Reeves Metz of Houston Texas, one brother, James Reeves, two sisters, Caretta McLean and Estelle White of Rock Hill, SC, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
