Herbert Wayne Phillips, MONROE - Mr. Herbert Wayne Phillips, 64, of Monroe, passed away on February 21, 2015, in Charlotte. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Langford Chapel C.M.E. Church, Monroe. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grier Funeral Service in Charlotte and also on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Survivors are his wife, Faye E. Crowder-Phillips; a son, Johnathan Wayne Phillips, a daughter, Minnie Chastian Crowder Olden (AJ), all of Monroe; sister, Nellie Sue Phillips of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jayden and Zion Olden; mother-in-law, Minnie M. Crowder, also of Monroe; and a sister-in-law, Krissona Phillips of Charlotte.
