Mr. Hiowana Val Nivens was born January 20, 1951 in Iredell County and departed this life Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jehu Nivens and Ruby Nivens Alexander. He is survived by his sister, Tawana N. Wilson-Allen, one daughter, Tulasi Nivens Jarvis, sons, Jebi and Janardin Nivens.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12 noon at the Hindu Center of Charlotte, Ghandi Bhavan Building, 7401 City View Drive, 28212.
